Description

RLC16Mk2 (Material 600-045) is a dedicated relay expansion module for the second-generation unit monitoring rack. It is used in conjunction with the MPC4Mk2 computing card and is designed for scenarios where the original relay contacts are insufficient. It receives alarm logic instructions through the backplane OC bus and expands 16 independent switch contacts, enhancing the secondary control circuits such as unit shutdown interlock, audible and visual alarms, and remote fault indication.

The module is equipped with a full-channel self-check function and supports a system safety line failure fallback mechanism. In the event of a fault, all relays automatically switch to a safe state. The rear-mounted multiple screw terminals facilitate on-site secondary wiring and support hot plugging of the module without interrupting the entire unit protection process. It is widely used in steam turbines and compressors for multi-point measurement protection cabinet systems.
