ABB VPM810 Valve Position Module

Functional Description

The VPM810 performs these functions:

· Receives the field l/O.

· Generates the output signals.

· Converts the input signals to digital.

· Transfers the digital signals to the CPM810.

The VPM810 module requires that a dip switch be configured prior to insertion into the TBU810 to select the

type of feedback devices to be used. Set the dip switch underneath the VPM810 module to the proper

setting for the type of feedback device(s) that will be used. This dip switch contains four switches. The

leftmost two switches set the selection for LVDT 1. and the rightmost two switches set the selection for LVDT 2.
