Functional Description
The Processor Module (MPM810) plugs into the slot of the Termination Base Unit (TBU850).
The MPM810 performs the following functions:
· Executes the selected functions of the MCM800 system.
· Communicates to the control system via Profibus DP or Modbus RTU.
The MPM810 resides in an open ventilated plastic enclosure. On the front of the MPM810 module there are
eleven LEDs indicating the module and I/O status.
MPM810 module can be easily replaced in a fully operational I/O station. The design of the module and
TBUs protect the module from being damaged by excessive voltage or current.
